Independence Day

Rosary HSS celebrated the Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebration began with Prabhat Pheri from 4 different spots around Navelim. The students carried banners and the flags and shouted slogans like Jai Hind, Vande Mataram to celebrate the 75th Independence day.

Then, there was the Programme of flag hoisting followed by cultural Programme conducted at the school Campus. A short prayer service was also held to celebrate the Feast of Assumption
The speaker, Tr. Josemina Pinto in her speech put forth the sacrifices of the various freedom fighters and emphasized that our Independence came to us at the cost of the lives of these freedom fighters. Through the Cultural Programme, the students depicted the need to preseve India. The Principal, Ms. Magret Dias reminded the students of the first speech done by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The Programme ended with vote of thanks by Tr. Rolita Pires.
